How to Choose a Hot Melt Glue Gun (Power, Plug & Temperature)
A glue gun is only as good as its match to your stick diameter, duty cycle and market. For importers and private-label brands, the decision comes down to four variables: power, nozzle, temperature control and plug.
1. Power (Wattage)
Higher wattage melts faster and sustains temperature under continuous use. Jiajian supplies glue guns from 20W to 500W:
- 20W–60W — light DIY, craft, intermittent use
- 100W–120W — regular commercial and assembly use
- 200W–500W — high-output industrial stations
2. Nozzle Material
- Aluminum nozzle — standard, cost-effective
- Copper nozzle — used on higher-power and temperature-adjustable models
3. Temperature Control
- Constant-temperature — fixed setpoint, simple operation
- Temperature-adjustable — tune to stick and substrate (e.g. 110W/120W copper-nozzle models)
4. Plug & Market
Plug type (US/EU/UK/AU) and voltage (100–240V) must match your destination market. This is a common private-label specification.

FAQ
Which wattage do I need?
For intermittent craft use, 20W–60W is enough. For continuous commercial or industrial feeding, choose 100W and above.
Can guns be private-labeled?
Yes. Power, plug, temperature control, color, logo and retail packaging can be discussed per OEM project.
Do guns match 7mm and 11mm sticks?
Standard guns are sized for common stick diameters. Confirm the chamber diameter matches your stick (7mm or 11mm) before ordering.
