EVA hot melt adhesive is the workhorse of the hot melt world. "EVA" stands for ethylene-vinyl acetate — a copolymer that, when heated, becomes a fast-setting, solvent-free adhesive. How EVA Hot Melt Works
EVA is supplied as solid sticks, granules or blocks. It is melted in a gun, melter or tank, applied in molten form, and sets as it cools. There is no evaporation step, so open time and set time are controlled mainly by temperature and substrate.
